Abstract:Since twenty-first Century, China's coastal areas put forward the requirements of industrial upgrading, transformation and transfer, then some industries relocated to the mainland, which led to the fourth big shift of industries in the global context. Through econometric studies, it’s found that the impact of industrial restructuring and transfer on employment is positive in general, which is conducive to employment growth, and should continue to deepen the transformation and upgrading of industries. Among them, the positive effect of industrial structure adjustment on employment is the biggest, and industrial transfer has a greater help to the employment in the central region, but has no significant impact on the scale of employment in other regions. In the future we should implement employment priority strategy for transformation and upgrade of industry, and combine industrial transformation and upgrading with the development of employment. We also should strengthen the development of supporting industries in industrial transfer areas to prevent the negative effects of industrial transformation and upgrading on employment.
