Abstract:Based on the open data of Foxconn and government departments, this paper analyzes the wage level of Foxconn employees and argues that "voluntary" overwork is inevitable in the mode of low-wage payment and the semi-militarized management. The effect of such long-time labor supply behavior is investigated. This paper also points out that in different stages of economic growth, the target orientation of local governments and the concept of public policy are also changing. Therefore, it is unavoidable that Foxconn's enterprise development mode is questioned
