Guided by Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and taking his discussions on the working class in understanding, analyzing and solving problems as the basic positions and approaches, this paper, based on the development of the status and role of the Chinese working class, looks into the characteristics of the status and role of the working class and the current problems arisen in the new era. In addition to corresponding suggestions proposed, analysis has also been focused on the trend of the status and role of the Chinese working class.
