Abstract:Based on the sample survey and empirical analysis of 487 young teachers in Shandong province, this paper explores the mechanism and impact path of research performance pressure on overwork, and verifies the impacts of the intermediary influence of occupational stress and anxiety on overwork. The results indicate that, in addition to a significant positive correlation between young college teachers' research performance pressure and their occupational stress and anxiety, young teachers’ research performance pressure also has a significant positive effect on their overwork. Moreover, through the intermediary effect test, the results also show that occupational stress and anxiety play an intermediary role between their research performance pressure and overwork.
