Abstract:Under the influence of democratic reform, constructing the labor legislation system has been improved in Myanmar in recent years with its positive commitment of the government by adhering to the international labor standards. Thus, the labor risk of Chinese enterprises in Myanmar has risen, which is hampering the progress of the Belt and Road Initiative. As a result, the Chinese government and enterprises should pay more attention to Myanmar’s labor legislation reform to reduce the labor risk of Chinese enterprises and to balance the economic benefits and social interests of investment by establishing related code of conduct and strengthening Chinese enterprises’ collective bargaining ability. The achievement of the Belt and Road target, hence, can be guaranteed.
