Abstract:Labor disputes have always been a major cause of mass incidents in recent years. From the perspective of development process, mass incidents between labor and management experienced stages based on moral values of economy of the state-owned enterprise workers, stages based on workers' rights disputes, and stages based on workers' interest claims in China today. A couple of characteristics have been examined in the current mass incidents between labor and management, i.e., characteristics from the pluralism of "rights" to "interests", from the "scattering sand "to" organized" collective resistance, and from the "radical" protest to "rational" law mobilization. Accordingly, major attention should be paid to strengthening the source of governance in resolving mass incidents in addition to implementing a dynamic supervision and establishing a sound early warning system. Therefore, a sound social order should be maintained by establishing a corresponding emergency response mechanism and resolving conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.
