Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly stressed that we should persist in carrying forward the spirit of model workers and craftsman and that of labor in his series of important speeches on the work of the working class and trade unions. A conscientious understanding of the scientific implications of the spirit of model workers and craftsman and that of labor, as well as their logical relations are of great theoretical value and practical significance in contributing to realizing the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, enhancing cultural self-confidence and improving the overall quality of industrial workers in China. The relationship between model workers spirit and labor spirit are that of the whole and the part, the one between the spirit of model workers and craftsman are that of external force and internal force, and the one between labor spirit and craftsman spirit are that of the generality and individuality. In short, the spirit of labor, and that of craftsman and model workers has a progressive logic.
