Abstract:Since Trump came into power, he has vigorously implemented the US First economic policy, which has impacted the current international order and caused unprecedented changes in the global trading system. The United States has become a variable with unilateral vs. multilateral. The western camp, thus, is divided, whilst the emerging economies and developing countries are rising. In the process of the changes, the political and economic logic of Trump's isolationism, unilateralism and protectionism has undoubtedly emerged, which has brought both opportunities and new challenges to China's development. Therefore, China must adopt a series of sound response strategies, to grasp the overall strategic situation and to safeguard the overall stability of Sino-US relations. In addition, we should also deepen the reform and opening up and build a multilateral community of interests, and layout home-court diplomacy to enhance China's strategic capability.
