Abstract:The 17 National Congress of Chinese Trade Unions revised the basic duties of the Chinese trade unions to "maintain the legitimate rights and interests of workers and serve the masses of workers wholebeartedly",which is the requirements of the times and an important part of the innovation of the trade unions work.After analyzing the evolution of trade unions responsibilities serving the employees,it is found that there are differences in the expressions and requirements of this issue in different periods.The service of trade unions for the employees,however,should be closely related to the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of employees.It is aso seen that trade unions at all levels have carried out their active explorations in serving the masses of workers and formed some influential service brands.In the current situation,the work of trade unions,firstly,must highlight the characteristics of trade unions,correctly position itself,change their concepts,and achieve the neds of employees. Secondly,resources should be tilted to grassroots trade unions to guide and enable them to consolidate the organizational foundation for serving employees.Thirdly,it is necessary to set up an effective interactive feedback mechanism with the broad masses of employees
