With the advent of an aging society, how to realize the secondary demographie dividend is of great significance to both individuals andthe socicty as well. This study analyzed the reemployment status and infuencing factors of the elderly through descriptive statistics of 586 validsamples in 9 cities in Fujian province. The results showed that the overall employment of the elderly in Fujian province was at a relatively low level,whilst the gap between urban and rural areas widened greatly, the distribution of occupations was unbalanced. The reempleyment of the elderly wasnot only affected by the concepts of the elderly and their family members, but was also restricted by conditions such as job- hunting channels andrights protection. The study proposed setting-up a reemployment promotion system for the elderly from the govemment, society, and individuallevels, including actively exerting the govemment's overall guiding role, building a job market mechanism for the elderly, and enhancing theawareness of the elderly's labor rights protectien to promote the reemployment of the elderly.
