Comprehensively strengthening labor education in constructing moral edhcation, intellectual education, physical education, aestheticedocation, and labor education for the new era is a key part of a fully developed educational system. This study, taking Marxist view of labor as thetheoretical basis and value guide for the organic integration of labor education and ideokogical and political education in colleges and universities in the new ern, fiully excavated the connotation of labor education in colleges and universities,and deeply delved into ways of promoting the inmovative developmentofideological and political edhcation in colleges and universities through labor education. Thus,labor edhucation in the new era and idleokogical and politicaleducation in colleges and universities can penetrate and complement each other. As labor education and ideolkgical and political education have similaritiesin terms of edueating people,therefore, labor education shoukd be emphasized in ideological and political theory courses, strengthening various forms oflabor practice activities, and establishing and perfecting systems and mechanismns to ensure its effective impementation. This plays a key roke in enhancingthe practicality, effectiveness, pertinence, atractiveness, and sense of acquisition of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, andfulfilling the fiundamental task of ideolkgical and political education in colleges and universities.
