Abstract:The quantity and quality of senior skilled workers are of great significance to economic development. The exploration of the educational system for senior skilled workers in our country started from the middle of the 1980s, and at the beginning of the 1990s the senior technical school was formally established. At present, a series of systematic researches on this period in academic circles have not been conducted yet. Through the analysis of data, this research shows the historical features of this stage more completely to reveal its meaning and experience. This current study believes that the training of senior technical education system has its historical inevitability and has undergone a thorough and rigorous pilot process. The success of the pilot of the senior technical school has changed the pattern of senior technical training, and has gradually solved the natural growth of senior workers relying on production positions for a long time. It has also alleviated the contradiction of the serious shortage of high-level skilled workers in enterprises, and has injected impetus into our country's economic development. The experience accumulated in policy design and personnel training in the pilot program still has important enlightenment for the current training of high-skilled personnel.
