Abstract:Employees’ job well-being is not only essential to improve organizational performance, but also contributes to the sustainable development of the economy and society. From the perspectives of attachment theory and social learning theory, the current study has constructed and verified the chained mediational model in which authentic leadership's impacts on employee happiness. The model, specifically, includes the mediating role of self-efficacy between authentic leadership and employee well-being, and that of work and family authenticity between authentic leadership and employee happiness, as well as the chained mediational role of self-efficacy and work and family authenticity between authentic leadership and employee happiness. The results show that authentic leadership positively affects employee happiness; self efficacy, work and family authenticity have significant mediating effects between authentic leadership and employee happiness; the chained mediational role of self-efficacy respectively related to work and family authenticity between authentic leadership and employee happiness is significant.
