Abstract:Situation of the British Working Class is fairly a realistic, critical and revolutionary documentary work. Through an in-depth investigation, Engels fully exposes the oppression of workers by capitalists in this book, and puts forward the idea of protecting workers' rights to food, housing, medical care, and education. These ideas are widely popular, revolutionary, and equal, and are of great significance to the current senses of gain, happiness, and security for the workers in the new era in China. The research suggests the sense of gain be further improved by strengthening the construction of trade unions organizations, giving full play to the role of trade unions and effectively safeguarding the interests of the working class. Moreover, the working class' sense of happiness can be improved by advancing their ideological cultivation and enriching their spiritual world in the new era. Thus, their sense of security should be enhanced by perfecting laws and regulations concerned.
