The scientific notions of labor and labor education thought are an important component of Lenin's ideological system. The current study analyzes and sorts out Lenin's labor education thought and its practice path. The study believes that Lenin's labor education thought has profoundly revealed the decisive role of labor on the development of the humans, and clarified the content, methods and strategic position of labor education under the Soviet society. After the labor education thought has been vigorously promoted through practice, a positive atmosphere of glorious labor has gradually been established in the whole society, and it provides theoretical guidance and practical direction for cultivating a generation of communist youth. Thus, the conterqxjraiy enlightenment of Lenin's labor education thought is embodied in the following aspects. First, labor education is the fundamental strategic task of cultivating socialist builders and successors. Secondly, the key to labor education in the new era lies in the high degree of unification of its theory and practice. Thirdly the contents and methods of labor education must keep pace with the times and have the courage to bring forth new ideas. And finally, labor education has to take a form of a trinity ofjoined educational force of*'the school, family and society".
