Abstract:General Secretary Xi Jinping stresses on many occasions that cadres of trade unions should become the "mother's family" trusted by employees. But there is still a lack of in-depth and systematic research on what is a "mother's family" and how to be a "mother's family". "Mother's family" has the closest, the most thoughtful, the most trustworthy, and the responsibility-taking characteristics. At present, a variety of problems still exist concerning how to become a real "mother's family" on the part of cadres of trade unions, such as their lack of awareness of the subject, their indefi nitely defi ned responsibilities, their insuffi cient recognition, their cognition of incomplete evaluation mechanism, and their inadequate comprehensive quality to be improved. Hence, the standardized construction of "mother's family" is not only a concrete measure to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech, but also the inner expectation of hundreds of millions of employees. It is also an innovative probe into new behaviors of trade unions organizations in the new era. The study argues that we should strengthen the awareness of the "mother's family", improve the identity degree of the "mother's family", and clarify the specifi c duty of the "mother's family", so as to better serve the employees and meet the needs of the vast number of employees
