The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council put forward "implementation of the three-child policy and its relevant supporting measures", and it is a very important measure for prenatal and postnatal care improvement in our country. After examining the historical background and actual basis of the three-child policy, this study argues that the major move of prenatal and postnatal care improvement is in line with China's current demographic and economic development, representing a creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese fertility culture. To further implement the major measures to promote childbearing and parenthood, it is imperative to improve the safeguard mechanism of three-child policy, fostering a good fertility culture consistent with the core socialist values throughout society
