In the new ear, the mainstream media's model worker reportage is still an important way to carry out model education in China. Based on the analysis of model worker reports of the mainstream media represented by the People's Daily, the research held that these reports not only highlighted the leading role of "model worker spirit" as always, but also added two spiritual forms of "craftsmanship spirit" and "labor spirit". The research found that the three spiritual systems are related with and focused on each other, making the spiritual spectrum presented by model education more perfect. The model worker spirit is an outstanding labor model, i.e., the transcendent spirit of pursuit of model worker, leading workers to learn the advanced and strive for the advanced; the craftsmanship spirit integrates the professional requirements of "fine" workers, constituting the worker's intrinsic motivation to strive for excellence and surpass the self; and the labor spirit includes the universal requirements for all qualifi ed workers. The three spiritual forms of model worker reports enhance the systematic, hierarchical and targeted content of model education, help to improve the effectiveness of morality education of model worker reports, enhancing the effectiveness of casting souls of model education.
