Abstract:"Labor creates human beings". It plays a decisive role in the history of human civilization, and the discourse surrounding it has always been the result of the interaction between power, economy, and culture. This study employs a "theoretical origin-social construction" approach, drawing on media discourse theory and presenting a structure of introduction, elaboration, and conclusion to explore the dissemination and ideological shaping of labor discourse. Using the notion "labor" as the main thread, the study sets up an explanatory framework from theoretical origins to practical innovations through four dimensions of "the essence of labor", "decent work", "the dissemination of labor discourse", and "the labor view of socialism with Chinese characteristics". The study claims that the current discourse on "decent work", along with the "labor spirit", "model worker spirit", and "craftsman spirit", is reshaping labor ontology to establish the legitimacy of labor value, achieving cross-cultural translation for material integration, and repositioning ideology through media dissemination. Ultimately, this generates a Chinese labor view that negates alienated labor and affi rms human labor. Therefore, emphasizing the interaction between media and society and grasping the ideological discourse power is crucial for understanding the mechanisms of labor discourse dissemination and its profound impact on society.
